How identification works
A unique local IMDb movie matching the filename title and year can be identified automatically. A large runtime difference or conflicting identity requires review. Other possible matches are shown for your decision. Identification preserves descriptive metadata. This action checks a bounded group using the configured sources.

Worklist help
Changing worklists clears search and refinements. Counts above always cover the whole catalog.
Identified means the movie has an accepted identity. Needs review means a possible match or identity conflict needs your decision. Not identified means there is no accepted identity or current suggestion. Earlier unsuccessful searches never hide a movie.
Identity review and missing metadata are separate issues. Refreshing counts reads local data and makes no provider requests.

DUPLICATE REVIEW Possible duplicate movies Open to compare records
Signals are intentionally conservative and never remove or merge anything. Compare each group, then delete only a confirmed duplicate object from S3 and use the documented, explicit catalog reconciliation workflow.
Series
Link movies by a shared series name, regardless of their titles. Entry numbers are optional.
CONTROLLED VOCABULARY
Labels & collections
Organize shelves with Collections, add flexible descriptors with Tags, and classify movie types with Genres. Preview changes before renaming, merging, or removing a label across the catalog.
Imports & exports
Download the current CSV, edit metadata fields, then upload it for validation. Nothing changes until you review and apply the preview.
For smart collections and tags, Collections and Tags store manual inclusions. Their exclusions columns store exceptions, and their Effective columns show the current result for reference.
Series backup and restore
Series JSON includes names, descriptions, aliases, and ordered movie relationships. Import previews replacement of the entire series library.
Whole-catalog downloads
These downloads always cover the whole catalog, regardless of your worklist or refinements. Use Export this view in Catalog review for a read-only report of the filtered worklist, across all pages.
The identity CSV is the CLI confirmation template for pending or unmatched movies without an IMDb ID. Probable matches already have a candidate ID and are excluded. Artwork gaps includes all movies without a configured poster.
Screening
Manage the current screening and Up Next, or inspect an external movie for a temporary screening.

Metadata enrichment
Scheduled enrichment requires explicit operator setup. The operator controls when its timer runs. Reloading this panel reads local history and makes no provider requests.

Capabilities and recorded outcomes
Recorded outcomes may describe earlier catalog data or configuration. A recorded retry time is not a scheduled run or a promise that a movie is due. Metadata review compares values for each field. Approved values are kept until a Host changes them.
